Linde BPV50: Can We Economically Repair This Old Pump?
In this video, a customer sent in a Linde BPV50 from a KIOTI front end loader. This is an older pump from Linde that is no longer made and came with the machine when the customer purchased it. (Check out our post on this video: https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxxWWeaR6CBg9OwbLp8ZqAFEKpG70LI0V0 ) He brought the pump into a different shop for repair and they quoted him around $10,000 to get it fixed. The customer wants this repair done as economically as possible because the loader only cost him about $5,500 he just wants to get it running for more than 20-30 minutes. Challenge Accepted. Our mechanics Lloyd and Dave take a look at it on our test bench. By trying different things and isolating the problem, they eventually got this pump working pretty efficiently. Fraser goes more into depth about the inching valve which hydraulically reduces the throttle. For more information and a schematic breakdown of the inching valve, check out this post:
