Summary: Servo ports were added to the rear of Linde pumps to remotely change the angle of the swash plate to neutral using hydraulic pressure. Over time, Linde identified that these ports were not accessible with certain thru drive configurations. As a result, different servo port locations were introduced to improve accessibility. On some OEM units, both tapped servo ports are located on the same side of the unit. This article explains why different servo port locations exist and identifies where they can be found on the different Linde units.
Applies to: Anyone who currently has or is working with a Linde unit with servo ports.
FINAL ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA
- Identify the different servo port locations.
- Understand why they are different.
- Identify the current servo port configuration.
- Understand what to expect when purchasing a new Linde unit.
TECHNICAL BULLETIN
This establishes the previous and current locations of the tapped servo ports on OEM Linde units. The different port locations are the result of design changes made to improve accessibility with some of the thru drives.
