PAVC
Parker's PAVC piston pump offers high, self-priming speed that can be operated at high altitudes. PAVC pumps are field changeable, meaning their controls are easily converted from one control type to another. The controls available are pressure compensated, load sensing, power limiting, and low pressure standby.

Diagnosing PAVC Piston Pump Failures

Upon inspection of this PAVC65 pump, it was labeled "Blown up" and needs to be replaced. Luckily for our customer, we were able to quickly quote them a brand new one off of our shelf. They agreed and had their new pump sooner then it would have taken us to replace the list of parts below.

"Hunting" explained on a piston pump
If your
differentials are too close they start hunting. This is on a Parker PAVC65 piston pump.
So basically, one is going to gain control, and then another one will take over
and it's going to push it out of the way.
And this is just going to constantly
go like this, as each pump struggles for control. And the way to get around
that is to offset your differentials. About 15 - 20 psi each. And
